Things Only A Mom Can Teach

My Mother taught me about the following:

ANTICIPATION: "Just wait until your father gets home."
RECEIVING: "You are going to get it when we get home!"
MEET A CHALLENGE: "What were you thinking? Answer me when I talk to you ... Don't talk back to me!"

LOGIC: "If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you're not going to the store with me."
MEDICAL SCIENCE: "If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they are going to freeze that way."
THINK AHEAD: "If you don't pass your spelling test, you'll never get good job."

ESP: "Put your sweater on; don't you think I know when you're cold?"
HUMOR: "When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."
BECOME AN ADULT: "If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."

SEX: "How do you think you got here?"
GENETICS: "You're just like your father."
ROOTS: "Do you think you were born in a barn?"

WISDOM OF AGE: "When you get to be my age, you will understand."
And my all time favorite...
JUSTICE: "One day you'll have kids, and I hope they turn out just like you. Then you'll see what it's like."

My Heart & My Soul
Brandy
She came to me and through me from God above,
She was relinquished from my arms on a dreary summer day, with great strength and love,
It was God's plan from the very start,
Not that I ever ever ever wanted for us to be apart,
I followed my heart and did what was best,
Knowing that in due time God would handle all the rest,
Days turned to months, then to years,
I was sorrow filled, missing and longing for you my "Dear",
Many a tears I did shed,
Many prayers were plead,
Praying for continued strength to carry on,
Asking God daily Lord where did I go wrong,
When I finally listened to his answer speak to my heart,
That's when my new life began to start,
He knew what I felt all along,
And shared it all with me in a song,
He too had lost the love of his life,
His only son to sacrifice!
Brandy my beautiful birth daughter,
She is a gift from God,
My Heavenly Father!
Yes it was hard to separate,
But in Gods promises I kept the Faith,
For He had promised me,
That one day I would see,
YOU
My Brandy again,
And when I did,
A reflection of me was his gift,
Thank you Lord for choosing me,
to be,
My Brandy's!
Angel Bringer of Life...

~Lucy Franklin 2006

Year after year I hope I see something with my name on it, but find nothing. It fills my heart to see families meeting up again and hope things work out for them and they find what they seek. I am an adoptee, looking for anyone who may know me. I was born in Carson City, Nevada on December, 27, 1974. The LDS church handled everything. My name is now Christopher. I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. My birth mother was only 16 at the time of my birth; well that's what I was told anyways. It has been hard to get any info, even my birth certificate, because of the lack of info I have on myself. I am grateful for everything in my life and I am not upset over not knowing my birth family, but I still would love to meet them and share my family with them. If you know something, please email me. Take care all and best wishes.

This is a short note to let Sandra K. Warren know that her daughter "Mary?" born on 10/29/1963 at Denver General in Denver, Colorado, is still searching for her and for an older sister. I was placed for adoption on December 16, 1963, with Social Services and was in a foster home until February 14, 1964. I was adopted by Joe and Lela Stevens and have had a wonderful life. I also wanted to let you know that I am getting married in February, 2007. I would really like to meet you, and if this is something that is not acceptable with you, if you could get me a medical history, that would be sufficient. I know you did for me what you thought was best and I have no hard feelings. I hope that I hear from you soon.

This is to my brother who was born June 22, 1955 and adopted about June 22, 1955 from Jackson, Michigan, Florence Crittenton Services. Your name at birth was Jeffrey Lee Niver. Mother is Vera Bernice (Niver) Burger. If you or anyone reading this has any helpful info for a reuniting, please email the youngest sister, Tikkri.

I am looking for my birth mother, Flossie Thomas. I was born in Cottage Hospital on 11/8/1945 in Oildale, California. I have a sister 11 years older than me. Would like contact with any family member. Was a private adoption. If you have any information, please email me.

Hi, I am mixed female (Caucasian and black, so I hear) who was born in New York City on May 1, 1969. I think the hospital was called Down State Medial, am not sure. This was a closed adoption. My parents adopted me at about 2.5 months of age. I think the agency was Louise Weiss. If you know me, please email me.
